Troon Vineyard Vermentino

Troon Vineyard

From the winemaker:

  • 95 Points Vinography"Perhaps the standout wine this week, though, was the Troon Vineyard Vermentino from Oregon’s Applegate Valley. This may well be the single best wine I’ve had yet from this biodynamically-farmed estate, it might be some of the highest quality wine for the price on the West Coast of California. The barrel fermentation adds a touch of richness to the crisp citrus and herbs, and the overall package is just brimming with vibrancy and deliciousness."

  • 91 Points Terroirist"Light yellow color. Such a fresh, inviting, floral, airy wine, like a spring field of all sorts of flowers, with white tea over top of generous peach and zesty lime. Punchy texture, vibrant acidity, this is a zesty and focused wine with yellow plums, white peach and cantaloupe fruit, drizzled with lime. The honey, clean laundry and floral perfume tones add complexity. Texturally, the depth of this wine is fantastic, too. Fermented in old French oak, aged on the lees for five months"
