Vinos Lechuza in Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California, Mexico is the story of a California couple who visited the region and fell in love with everything about the region: the food, the wines, the land, and the culture.

Ray and Patty Magnussen established Lechuza Wines in 2005 and released their first vintage in 2007 after Ray enrolled in the enology and viticulture program at University of California at Davis.  Ray concentrated on four varietals : Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Merlot, and Tempranillo.

Kristen, their daughter, and Adam, her husband joined in 2012 and added Chardonnay and organic farming practices to the mix.  Sadly, Ray passed away in 2017 but the family legacy lives on through Kristen and Adam's stewardship.
