Situated on a high hill in Roussillon, in the shadow of the Pyrenees mountains, windswept Château de Caladroy has a long and varied history dating back to the 12th century. Once a medieval fortress, this château produces wines that reflect their rocky surroundings.
Following their dream of "making the most natural wines possible", the Fournié family crafts expressive Cahors wines from 100% Malbec. Their vineyards are organically certified and are intentsively managed by hand without the use of any chemical fertilizers or synthetic chemicals. Wines are made with the same hands-on approach; gentle and slow fermentation, long vatting, and bottling without filtration. All of this hardwork and care adds up to incredible, and special, wine.
